Mushaboom” is the first single released by indie pop singer Feist from her album Let It Die. It was released November 23, 2004 by Universal International, and is Feist’s second single released in Canada, after “Inside and Out“.

The title comes from Mushaboom, Nova Scotia, a village on Mushaboom Harbour, about 100 km east of Halifax.

Feist performed the song live on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in January 2006 and appears on the 2008 compilation album, Northern Songs: Canada’s Best and Brightest.

It also is part of the soundtrack of the movie 500 Days of Summer.

It is unique among Gershwin compositions in that it was used for two different Broadway productions, Treasure Girl (1928), and Strike Up the Band (1930) along with the 2012 musical Nice Work If You Can Get It (2012). It is considered a jazz standard.

Zebda est un groupe français de musique d’influences diverses, originaire de Toulouse et actif principalement du début des années 1990 à2003. Groupe militant et engagé, notamment auprès du Tactikollectif, Zebda remporta un grand succès auprès du public et des critiques avec les albums Le Bruit et l’Odeur (1995) et surtout Essence ordinaire (1998) pour lequel ils reçurent de nombreuses distinctions. Après quelques années d’arrêt, au cours desquelles les membres du groupe s’investissent dans des projets en solo, le groupe se reforme en 2008.
